Event Description

The Seventh Annual Benghazi-Twin Towers Memorial Motorcycle Ride and Veterans Appreciation Event is a 50 mile sheriff-escorted ride through four counties in NC and GA commemorating the Benghazi Four, The World Trade Center Attack (9-11-01), and Constitution Day. The event is sponsored by the South East Riders, Sons of Liberty Riders, Joshua’s Warriors, and American Legion Riders Posts 23 and 121 as well as other local veterans, patriot, and Christian groups.
We are proud that this year’s event will also be combined with a Ride In or Drive In Veterans Appreciation Event sponsored by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office at the Band of Brothers Memorial Park in Murphy, NC.
Registration from 0830 Hrs to 1000 Hrs at Towne Square, River and Main Streets, Hiawassee, GA
The 50-mile sheriff-escorted ride will go through four counties in GA and NC. The Veterans Appreciation program is a Ride In/Drive in event at the Band of Brothers Memorial Park on Pleasant Valley Road in Murphy, NC.

I hear you, Brother.  We have some riders who also come from that distance (like Alabama SoLR) and spend Friday and Saturday nights in town.  If you can't make it, we understand.  God willing, we will be doing the Clemson Ride again next summer.

It's 188 miles for me to get there..... 400+ day might be more than this body can do.

This is growing every year and has become an impressive event. Even if you do not participate in the escorted ride, the events at the park are still impressive.

If you are NEW to SOLR:

  1. Join your state page,scroll down. Click on the name of your state and "JOIN".
  2. Contact the State President or leader.  NOT ALL STATES HAVE ONE.  If you are in a state that doesn't have leadership, get involved and try and reach out to the other members on the page.  Find another person who can help you get something going....then get involved.
  3. Read the by-laws, participate in the chat, reply to articles, and learn the ropes of how the site works.
  4. If you have a question post it in the chat room.  Someone should be able to answer it for you there.  If not contact your state leader or post it as a Discussion.
  5. Have fun and get involved politically!  While we are mostly "riders" many are not and our mission is POLITICAL 1st.....
