A couple of thoughts about tactics. I think there are two purposes to excite the crowd of protesters, but bikes also greatly increase our visibility. So, I am thinking that making some loops out to some areas where there are a lot of people may be useful. A loop around the gaslamp district is drawn in the flyer, where there should be lots of tourists, but that may not be such a fun loop for the riders, due to stoplights and the crowded street. Making a loop down Harbor Freeway to Rosecranz and back may be better and there is a lot of traffic on that run. So, a lot of people should see you there. Just a suggestion.

I agree with you, and think the whole cali smog/noise thing is BS too...now having said that...I've got a set of V&H pipes on my electra glide. They aren't as loud as some kids stereo systems, and I also ain't appologizing for them to NOBODY. We got idiots out here that think I shouldn't be allowed to have a gun either...but it'll be a dead man who comes to take mine away.

I wonder if even the so-called "conservative media" will support this effort, because they are media also. Even the conservative media do not tell the really hard truth about Obama. If they don't talk this event up a few days ahead of time, the participation may not be as great as we would hope. We would like to get big enough and well-organized enough that we do not depend on the media to have a lively protest, but not sure we are there yet. We'll see, I guess. We should have a pretty good crowd in San Diego even without media support.

California legislators are considering adding anti-noise laws specifically aimed at motorcyclists NEXT YEAR. The state assembly is considering adding it to Sen. Fran Pavely's idiotic motorcycle smog testing bill.

DO NOT FUCK things up. Noise is a hot topic right now. The nannycrats in Sacramento are keeping it under wraps, hoping to catch us being obnoxious so they can say, "See? We need more regulations and fees." So, do not give them the opportunity for soundbites and youtube clips to support their fascist agendas.
