Theres a dedication for a new Confederate Monument in Shiloh Tennessee this coming Saturday if anyone is interested in riding up. Capt Pat McMurry has has ask us to ride in with them to the ceremony. We would have to leave Cullman really early in order to stage with them In Corinth Mississippi. I need to know how many if any are interested in going? Several of our members were talking about going to Shiloh earlier and this would be a good opurtunity to go. This group of soldiers were the soldiers that helped us out last year at the Veterans ceremony and they plan to help out again this year. I just need a number if anyone wants to go and I'll do the route unless B-Mac can go and I'll let him. Call my cell because I'm working in the paint room today. C-Mack

They have a Republican booth at the Cullman County Fair, Cindy and I are going to visit it today since it is the last day of the fair, not choosing side just going to see what they have to say. I will be wearing my vest if anyone would like to go, give me a hollar and we will find someplace to meet. I think we should let them know what SOLR is about.

We all had a great time in Gatlinburg this past weekend and I,m sorry for those that had to cancel out their plans to attend.

We also got to meet SOLR from Minnesoto, Indiana, Ohio, New York, Tennessee, and Michigan. I think Alabama had the edge on members present but only by a couple. Six people actually road down from New York. Check out all the pictures on FB.

Next months meeting will be on Oct 17th 6pm at Freddies as usual.

If anyone is planning on riding down for the Angel ride later next month,(October 30th and 31st) here is the motel info.

Hampton Inn

Mobile-East Bay/Daphne

We will be leaving on Friday Oct 30th and staying until Sunday Nov 1st.

Please plan on making the meeting and I really hope we can get as many folks going down for the Angel ride as we had last year.

Ride safe

Just a few notes for all those going to Gatlinburg.
We are meeting at Jacks in Holly Pond at 7am and will leave from there by 7:45am.
I have several things to go over with everyone about the ride Saturday and will fill you in then.
Thanks and ride safe

I agree Tony that it was a great job and I want to thank everyone for their help and support in making this event successful. I especially want to thank Joe and Cindy Alverson for all their help in preparation for this to happen. Behind the scenes these 2 went far above and beyond what anyone could possibly imagine to make it a success. Thanks to all once again for your hard work and dedication.

If you all have not done so already, please make sure that you also say something to B-Mac for not only the hard work and time that he put into the route, destination, security and comfort that we had during the ride.

I am so proud of you all and am tremendously grateful to be a part of this group of folks

Thanks to all who helped in the ride yesterday,we didn't get the numbers we wanted;but all who rode had a great time and had a safe ride so given that it was successful. The charities listed received the following votes. K9 for warriors 22 votes---Gary Sinise foundation 6 vote---veterans outreach 18 votes--homes for troops 19 votes, a lot of dog lovers out there. Again great job by all
