Bill, at this point, I'm just trying to figure out how to keep our active membership numbers above 6 in our area, and then get those numbers to go up.

One quote from the late Andrew Breitbart, "If you can't sell freedom - YOU SUCK!"..... We're not doing too good at it, so apparently, we suck! Crap!, we can't even get folks to come out and visit with us for a free meal! Personally, if work doesn't get in my way, I'll go almost anywhere for a free burger...Even if it is a Communist giving it away!
(I'll especially take it from them, so it leaves them fewer resources to recruit with!  LOL)

And, yeah, I know about the 3%, but, it's not helping matters now. The only thing I can figure is that nobody really cares, or are either too lazy or too scared to get involved.

But, when their guy loses an election, they have no problem b******* about it, even though they didn't bother to go to the polls.
My reply to them is, "If you're not going to get involved, at least enough to vote, don't b**** when things don't go the way you want".

And, to LG, we need to find such events in our area that are happening on the weekends (and during the week that some of us can make). Problem is that none of this kind are being held, and we don't have the manpower to do it ourselves. If we had a dozen+, then we would possibly have enough to work with. But, they would have to be full-time, dedicated members.

I'll be at a fundraiser ride today, in colors, with flyers, as usual. And, as usual, I'll talk to a bunch of folks, and give out a bunch of flyers, and from there.....

But, we keep trying.....

Whether or not we spend money or put boots in place to help.  We should at least start making our presence known at events like this.

That you are struggling with this too, John, is an encouragement to me. Remember, 3% of the colonist overthrew the most powerful gov. in the world in 1783. Never give up.

I'm struggling with how to get this Constitution Fair thing going here too. But I'm making myself relax and take it one step at a time -- that's the first step.

My main question was actually, "Should we even think of this kind of event, considering that our active membership IS so low?"

I think being a co-sponsor or co-host is a good way to go.  We don't have the membership strength to do something like this on our own at this time... unless something crazy and wonderful happens between now and then.

It would be nice if we could join with some other groups to host or co-host an event like this next September.

Constitution Week Event

Ideas? Suggestions? Comments?

Ok, I have a question.....

The rest of the country is adding members every day.

Somebody please explain why Georgia can't get anything going.....

We can't even get a few folks to come to a gathering for free food.

Hey John if you would like some help with that or a staging spot Mike Newell at Cycle World was willing to help me out with setting up a benefit ride for my nephew that passed away

Update to this month's meeting notes.....

One of our meeting items will be beginning to plan a benefit ride for our Chaplain's niece and family, who has been dealing leukemia.
They are deeply covered in medical bills, along with their normal day to day household expenses.
If you have any experience in setting up this kind of event, we need you at this meeting.
