Hired Gun

Thanks, Brother, for your help in promoting what should be an incredible tribute to the Benghazi Four.  This is a 100 mile escorted ride through 6 counties in 3 states (GA, NC, TN), stopping at the county courthouses or veterans memorial in each place.  At each stop, there will be a prayer (Ride Chaplain), pledge of allegiance, a few words by a county official, Taps and Amazing Grace by the Bagpiper, and planting of a memorial sign.  In Murphy, NC, the final stop, we will go to the historic Henn Theater for a private showing of "13 Hours:  The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi".  It should be a memorable experience for all to honor our Brothers who lost their lives in Libya.  No charge to ride.  Registration begins at 9 AM in Hiawassee, GA, at the Towne Square on Main Street.  Program at 10 AM.  KSU approx. 10:20 AM.

Support events for both Alabama and North Carolina events have been created on our local FB page, SOLR North Georgia, and shared in several other locations. Hopefully we can get a good turnout for both events.

'Hired Gun' and GA Members:  This is a heads up!  Our NC/SC Benghazi Memorial Ride 2016 is running thru GA and TN this year on SAT, Sep 10th.  In GA, we're making stops in Blairsville and Blue Ridge.  Would you put the word out that we want GA SOLR members to be a part of our program this year.  A map of the route is attached as well as the event flyer.  Complete details will be posted up on the SoLR EVENTS page later today.  Call if you have questions:  352.638.2981

Here is the video from the Missing Man Tribute, and the helmet placing ceremony.

This Mising Man Tribute was set up at the Bomber Girls LRC/Senoia Wheels & Warriors Bike & Car Show, 16 April, 2016, Newnan Ga.

(The camera did not capture the audio very well. Just turn your volume up a bit. Full transcript is also provided.)

Thank you to everyone involved. Without the hard work and dedication of so many people, this would not be possible.

I am familiar with Iron Horse.  Nice place, but my concern would be cost.  I am trying to get a venue that we don't have to really pay for, get some food vendors and paraphernalia vendors in on their nickel, and maybe put out a little for a band.  Are you up for a conference call Thursday night at 9 PM?  Do you have any contact in North GA SOLR circles?
