Thank you to Chaplain Steve Standridge for representing Georgia SOLR at the 911 Memorial Ride in Atlanta on 912.
Your work is greatly appreciated.

Results of August 23 SOLR- N. Ga. meeting.....

It was decided by the members present at the meeting - State Chaplain, northwest Coordinator, and north metro Atlanta Coordinator - due to lack of active member attendance and event participation over the last 18 months, there will be no more regularly scheduled meetings until active membership increases, or out of necessity.

We will, however, continue to participate in events that are hosted by other organizations, and will, at times, create our own.
Those events will be posted as soon as the details are available. We hope that, eventually, more members will begin to attend these events and the Georgia organization will become viable once again.
And, both of our FaceBook pages will also be maintained, and updated, as usual.

Also, any member in the north half of the state, who sees a need, may call a meeting, which they will host. That member needs to set the date, time, and location, and give at least two weeks notice prior to the meeting so that other members can fit that meeting into their schedules.
Members in the north half of the state may also publish different mission oriented events, and have those events posted as soon as details are available.

We are deeply saddened and disappointed that we had to come to these decisions, which we believe could have been avoided if more members would have attended meetings, events, and participated in the various discussions which have taken place, both in person and online.

It is our hopes that soon, members will begin to return, and new people will join an organization that has the potential to "make a difference".

If anyone has any comments, suggestions, or ideas which will help to rebuild the Georgia chapter, please leave comments below, or contact one of us in person.

In Liberty,
Acta Non Verba

As of now, the August meeting is still set for Hooters in Cartersville.
According to the hourly forecast, the rain should be mostly gone by early afternoon.
If anything changes, I will post the info on the two north Georgia FB pages, in the event postings.
For further information, I can be contacted at 404.319.7056

The August meeting for the north Georgia districts has been posted.

Members in the north Georgia area should attend if possible. This will be an important meeting, as we will be having a discussion that will determine the direction of the Georgia chapter of SOLR.

Hope to see you there.

Approximately 425 bikes. and with nearly half of them being two-up, there were around 700 dedicated patriots standing the flag line at the church and Georgia National Cemetery.

We even had one rider who was moved enough to make the trip down from Maine to take part in all of the area funerals of those killed by the terrorist in Chattanooga.

Good job, and good showing to all who made it the Woodstock Georgia on Sunday.

August meeting information will be posted shortly.

Since this funeral and escort event is happening on our normal meeting day, (4th Sunday of the month) we will be working our regular meeting into the tail end of the day.

For those who wish to join in on the meeting (always open to the public), after the event, we will proceed to the Cartersville IHOP for our monthly chat and late lunch. (And, no, you DON'T have to own or ride a motorcycle!)

In case we get separated, the address is ---
640 E Main St
Cartersville, GA 30121
(I-75 to exit 288. Take Main Street westbound about 3/4 mile. IHOP will be the 1st business on the right after you go over the hill.)

Discussion topics will include, but not be limited to....
* Ideas on rebuilding the Georgia chapter. (New info from SOLR Prez.)
* Ideas for Constitution Day (17SEP)
* Ideas for moving state chapter forward.

Please bring you ideas and suggestions. They WILL be needed.

Looks like things are still going pretty slow bock here on the home page.....

"Is there anybody out there?"

You'll not get much argument from me.

The public postings and casual stuff can go on FB, but the important business needs to be kept here.
