I was traveling across the state and went into a Costco in Wenatchee. Showed ID upon entering as required and when I was in the middle of the store, a tall chicken neck supervisor came up to me and said I could not carry a pistol there. I said that as a concerned and legal citizen (not many in Wenatchee) I am cognizant of the law that OC is legal in our state and that I saw no posting to the contrary outside the building.
He said that it is posted, that it is their policy and that it is private property. I said then I have no argument with you and will remove the weapon.
Upon re-entering the Costco store I looked again for signage at the entry point, THERE WAS NONE. I approached the same man who was checking Membership ID at the door and pointed out what had just happened. He knew as they are in radios and he was the one who contacted management. You have a copy shop and sign shop here in the store, why don't you people post this if it is your policy or maybe you just like making a scene with your unsuspecting customers. He whimpered an offered nothing productive to the conversation so I left it alone.
I will contact Costco corporate management for clarification to see if in fact this is a system wide corporate policy or just some local chicken neck flexing his assumed authority.

On February 27, a press release was issued by Barrett Schroeder, former chair of the Latah County GOP announcing his candidacy for District 5 State Senate. He issued a press release that was sensational, defamatory and possibly slanderous.

It was aimed at the local Tea Party, Continental Congress , a local militia group, and Palouse Liberty Project .

He says"“Idaho and the United States are f...acing real issues today, issues of our financial strength and competitiveness in the world, and we need real conservative solutions."

Yet he focused on bashing the above and defending The Southern Poverty Law Center.

Are these the important issues facing us today? What about unemployment , taxes, fuel prices, wolf problems and upcoming elections?

He stated " If we are at war with ourselves, we will fail. " Yet he seems to be at "War" with his own party and hostilities are emanating from him with his statements.

As a conservative Republican, Tea party member I am DISGUSTED by his statements . I can NOT SUPPORT a person that claims to be a conservative and acts like a Liberal Democrat. Please don't be fooled .

The Grass Roots Freedom Ride is coming through your state on July 26-28 . I would enjoy meeting all members of SOLR that want to ride part of the route, or just meet.

Flags will be carried on the Grass Roots Freedom Ride and be signed by all SOLR that wish to participate in each State. These will end up in Washington , DC in September as part of the SOLR National Ride for 2010

You can see the Route on my web page

You can also join the SOLR Group where updates will be made and communication about the rides and events.

Contact me by email
, or 828 275 4057 for more info in your state

For those who are interested... Sarah Palin will be having her Book Tour signing at the Fred Meyer's store in Coeur d'Alene, Idhao on December 10th. Time TBA. I hope to be there. This is about 35 miles east of Spokane.
