Bob! Thanks so much for posting!

Thanks Bob for the links. As I have lamented to Deanna, down here in south west Minnesota we know more about South Dakota politics than Minnesota.

Check out this StarTrib article on judge replacement idea, don't know if it happened or not:

My question is who will pick the panel?

Ray, checkout this site for candidates running for MN offices:

It gives their political persuasion.

Ray, I agree. The judge mentioned this and told us he asked the Sec. of State why incumbent was there, instead of simply nothing. Wold be better that way. Of course the Sec. of State wouldn't say they would change it. Anyway, you are correct in not knowing everyone running. If I don't know what judge I'm voting for, I will not vote for incumbent, and usually don't. But it was just a comment that may help.

How do we know what party affiliation these judges are, school board superintendents, county commissioners, etc.? The ballot does not show it. Just how do we Minnesotans really know who we are voting for?  We don't.  No one will get my vote IF I don't know what party they represent, and what they stand for.  We get brochures from people who are running for office, but Party affiliation isn't mentioned. This is how Democrats keep getting elected in this state. It has to change. I do not have the time to spend on the computer researching these people.  I would like to see a complete brochure on everyone running for every position, that shows all info on all candidates, a brief description so the voters know who they are voting for.  Put out by sec treasure, and the election officials.  And sent out to every registered voter, one per house hold.  Frankly there are lots of names on the ballot I know nothing about, and I end up not voting for that office. I believe the state is obligated to get this info out in order to have a fare election.  If the people knew, Minnesota would not be a blue state.--  The farm bill, and the 2nd amendment. most farmers like most of us defend the 2nd amendment that's defended by Republicans, but, when faced with farm bill and taxpayer paid subsidies to operate. They will vote Democrat. You cannot have it both ways.  Businesses are supposed to be run off profits, not by robbing people of their money to stay in business which is fraud. We keep kicking the can down the road and do nothing to promote good business ethics and true reforms. When you don't have jobs you don't have taxpayers.

Attended my county Republican endorsing/delegate meeting yesterday and had an interesting speaker give us good information. In Minnesota, while most judges are supposed to be elected, they're appointed by mostly democrat Governors. When you go to vote, do NOT vote for "incumbent. "  This judge, a conservative who has been a judge for the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwa, but is running for a district judge position, is terrific and deserves to be hired. Judge 'O' is the guy to vote for if you see his name on the ballot this fall.

Got elected to be a state delegate again, so will be attending the District 8 convention (to formally nominate Mr. Mills to replace Mr. Nolan) and to the Minnesota convention in Rochester.

Remember: All politics is local and I am pleased to say that most of the people I talked with yesterday feel very positive about the affect the TEA party has had on us. It's a good thing and it's time to replace the 'reach across the aisle' traitors. Get involved. It's our only hope!!! Support your candidates, ride in their parades with your flag, wear your beautiful SOLR patch, knock on doors. Educate those who are ignorant.
