We had a great "September's Last Day" ride yesterday on the Blue Ridge Parkway from Asheville to Balsam with a stop for lunch at the Pisgah Inn.  The beauty of the scenery was exceeded only by that of the riders.  Perfect day for a ride and the fellowship was extraordinary.

Fellow Riders

We have been having significant fog in the early AMs.  This may affect riders from Murphy area getting to rally point (Visitors Center) exactly on time. Just letting you know in case we are a little late.  If possible we will text or contact your cell phones with an ETA.   Nevertheless, we will be there.

Wouldn't want to miss this ride.

It is with some sadness to think about Dick Shaughnessy no longer being the NC President and leader of Son's of Liberty Riders of North Carolina. He has held the mantel honorably, demonstrating,  dedication, extreme hard work, and dignity.  As Dan stated we need to concentrate on membership, especially younger members,  if we are to continue.  I totally understand Dick not wanting to work as  hard as he has been, in our stage of life. I look forward to sharing more rides with Dick. He and I will be checking every one's tail lights.   That said, I can think of no one who is more capable to continue the NC chapter than Dr Dan. Our brother , Dan has proven to be an amazing asset to our group and has the stamina of some half his age.  Thank your for all you have done so far and for stepping up to insure the future.  It has been an honor for me every time I am able to attend any Son's of Liberty Riders event. Personally, I wish I had started younger. I want this adventure to go on with out end. So onward Dr Dan, On this leg of the trip,  I'm ready to follow.  Thank you Thank you. ds

Brothers and Sisters in SoLR

The WNC of Pastor Dan Fisher's "Bringing Back the Black Robed Regiment" was an awesome event, made even more important by our nation's moral decay, decadence, and lawlessness by both individuals and government.  A knowledge of American History and the pivotal role of the Christian Church in the creation of our nation and the writing of our Constitution is essential to maintain the unity and patriotism of our citizenry.  Face it.  Two generations of our children have missed out on this critical part of their education - on purpose, of course.  Every dictator in human history has erased prior history to solidify power by eliminative allegiance to the prior regime.  Our Democratic Socialist Left, using "Rules for Radicals", seeks to destroy our constitutional republic and plunge our nation and, therefore, the rest of planet Earth into centuries of tyranny.  America is humanity's best hope of preserving individual freedom, and we, Brothers and Sisters of SoLR, must not allow them to succeed.

Those who attended Pastor Dan's BRR presentation were, in my opinion, infected with a contagious virus of knowledge and spirit.  As they go out into their homes, churches, and communities, they will infect others in what I hope will be a revival of the American Spirit.

I am personally humbled by Brother Dick Shaughnessy's confidence in my leadership, but, if others agree, I will shoulder the office of President of NC SoLR and pledge to do my best to grow our numbers and make our voice louder in the cause of individual freedom, free market economy, limited government, and adherence to the laws spelled out by our Constitution.

The Benghazi-Twin Towers Ride will continue along with as many other events and rides as possible, and I will do my best to live up to Dick Shaughnessy's stellar example of leadership.

I pray for our nation and "May God Prosper our Cause."

Dr. Dan

We celebrated Constitution Week with a week-long run of Pastor Dan Fisher’s performance of ‘The Story of the Black Robe Regiment’, presented in several counties across NC and GA the week of Sept 17-23, 2017.  It was a remarkable week, exhilarating till the end.  Without doubt, the most ambitious undertaking of the NC organization since my tenure in 2012.  Getting to know Dan Fisher, his wife Pam and playing a part in bringing his Black Robe ministry to our communities was an emotional experience that set some things in motion.  One, was the decision to step down as President of NC chapter.  The reasons are not important.   I leave the organization in the capable hands of our VP Dr Dan, whom I wholeheartedly recommend to assume the President’s role.

I especially want to say thank you to these brothers who were steadfast in their commitment to the organization:  Dr Dan, Mike McLean, David Ship, Jack Stein, James Clark and Al Evans.  I'd share a foxhole with any of these men!

Our annual BENGHAZI Ride is a tribute ride that I hope will continue.  So long as I remain a member, I will help in the planning of this ride which I consider to be an NC  ‘signature’ event.

See ya down the road!

In Liberty,

Waybak
