Check out the Indiana state meeting in Richmond. Some of you might remember Bob (Badoy) had a bad wreck on the In. governors ride. Well he is up and getting around very well, he's still upset that they cut his vest. We got him a new one in Sturgis and are getting his patches transferred, it should be ready so ee can present it to him @ the meeting!

Common Core Repeal Sponsor Testimony

Published on Aug 18, 2014

Republican Reps. Matt Huffman, from Lima, and Andy Thompson, from Marietta, offer sponsor testimony on HB 597, legislation that would repeal Common Core standards in Ohio, replacing them with new standards to be developed over the next couple of years.

I would like to have SOLR cards made up similar to business. Maybe 2 sided with logo, organization goals and information. I feel that doing so would serve as a great tool for promoting new membership, letting people know what the organization is about and providing website information. It sounds like Ohio had these once before. Is there anyway we can order some or provide the template so each district can get some made.

My prayers are there for Bad Boy.  My thanks are there for all my SOL brothers who helped, visited, called & texted, and are taking care of my bike after I went down.

While I wasn't on an SOL Ride, I did have local contact #'s and that helped  Also, the head nurse in charge of the hospital operating room gave me her # and offered help as a gold wing rider.  Everyone at hospital was impressed with the way bikers stay together and pull together to help each other.

My update: I'm back in NE Ohio staying with my daugher & her family (yeah grandkids!) Calls (cell# 216-334-6209) and visits (Twinsburg area) are welcome 'cause I'm going stir crazy. Leg brace is non-weight bearing so I'm confined to walker/wheelchair until the broken leg heals.

Sending vibes that way.

New Members please read

If you are NEW to SOLR:

  1. Join your state page, scroll down. Click on the name of your state and "JOIN".
  2. Contact the State President or leader.  NOT ALL STATES HAVE ONE.  If you are in a state that doesn't have leadership, get involved and try and reach out to the other members on the page.  Find another person who can help you get something going....then get involved.
  3. Read the by-laws, participate in the chat, reply to articles, and learn the ropes of how the site works.
  4. If you have a question post it in the chat room.  Someone should be able to answer it for you there.  If not contact your state leader or post it as a Discussion.
  5. Have fun and get involved politically!  While we are mostly "riders" many are not and our mission is POLITICAL 1st.....

We do have shirts available.

Back Logos are only available through your State President.....they will explain...and work with new members on "how" you go about getting one.

Acta Non Verba,

Sidecar Dan-National President
