FYI Leg Brace - made of Velcro and plastic buckles from ankle to thigh, but I can take it off anytime.  Original  purpose was to immobilize leg until bone healed.  Now it's extra support until my muscles rebuild themselves.  I expect to convert to a cane in next week or so.

Great news Mickey!

Went to court for the Failure to Control ticket I got when I had my bike accident this year.  Before court Prosecutor offered to let me plead to lesser offense that would keep points off driving record.  He made the mistake of suggesting I claimed an equipment malfunction on my bike.  I just looked at him indignantly saying, "You want me sell out my bike?" (Like I was asked to rat-out my best friend!).  I told my bike was fully functional, had just ridden back from New Orleans and there was a road hazard/oil spill that shouldn't have been on the road and caused the accident.  I informed him I'd been riding for 30 years and explained how oil compares to black ice and refused his offer.  He wasn't happy and said, "We'll just move forward with a trial then."  I had second thoughts, but he'd left the room.  Much later, he returned and said the officer confirmed there was a "Significant" oil spill and he thought I'd suffered enough (looking at my leg brace) and they were going to drop the charges.  So, bottom line was - no fines, no fees,  no court costs, no driving points - it all went away.  Thumbs up  to the female officer for stating the facts and thumbs down to her boss who told her she had to issue the ticket in the first place!!!!

Kentucky Startup meeting is Saturday in Lexington. I plan on riding down, its suppose to be 70 and partly cloudy. Should be a nice ride. The meeting is at 1pm and about 80 miles from Cincinnati. It would be great if we could get some people to ride down for moral support as we are on the letter end of season here. Anyone who can go for the meeting please let me know. Leaving 3617 Tarpis ave, cincinnati 45208 at 11am. Sign up here if you can go:

This has been coming for over a year and now, with less than 10 days left, we're asked to help. I sent him a messenge through Facebook to see if he'd contacted The 1851 center. He said that he'd sent several emails. The inference is that Thompson hadn't responded.
