You Might be a Prepper if

1 When most of your prep stuff in 5 gallon buckets still smells like pickles

2 The folks at the Mormon pantry know you by name

3 You can cook better w/your wood cook stove than you can with your conventional range

4 You have more antibiotics on hand than the local clinic

5 For a mothers or fathers day gift you buy something to in their prep bag

6 Your neighbors call you instead of 911

7 Your fav car trip game is "When I bug out, I'm going to take what with me?

8 Your 13 year old daughter can instruct an older adult how to properly use his firearm at the range

9 You honestly think closets are for food

10 You use the acronym EMP in regular conversation

11 You know what a Faraday Cage is

12 You pause Zombie movies in the middle to point out tactical errors

13 You think the movie "Tremors" is a classic

14 Your boys favorite color is camouflage

15 You think you've hit the jackpot when somebody offers their free food-grade buckets

16 You get rid of "stuff" you've accumulated so you can add preps to your closet space

17 All your food has dates on it

18 You're on a first-name basis with Lehman's rep

19 You have tried 10 different recipes for beans & have over 100 rice recipes

20 You've bought powdered milk for the first time in your life

21 The gas tank in your car is ALWAYS full, no matter the cost of gas

22 You skip Starbuck's, because after all, for the price of two coffees, you can get a 25 lb bag of food!

23 When your kid see’s you buying anything non-prep "Dad, shouldn't you be buying silver or gold instead?

24 When you notice peoples grocery carts full of grocerys & wonder if they are Preppers too

25 When people ask at the grocery store if you’re buying for an upcoming party

26 Friends staying in the guest room have no idea what is stored under their beds

27 When you know what TSHTF means

28 If you know the term, “ Zombies” dosen’t also mean the flesh eating kind

29 The local army surplus store owner knows you by your first name

30 Your garden has nothing but edible plants in it, unless they are companion plants or bee attractors

31 You don't NEED to evacuate

32 You have at least three alternate ways to light your home when the power goes out

33 You go to the supermarket on the eve of a hurricane, not to purchase anything, but to be entertained by everyone in a panic

34 You collect phone books while you still can, in case the Toilet paper runs out

35 You prep for your pets

36 You have four different evacuation routes mapped out and in the car at all times

37 Your backups have backups

38 You know the difference between your dog's happy bark, his alert bark, and his "OHMYGOSH, we're gonna die" bark

39 You've canned, Food saved, or dehydrated anything not nailed down in your kitchen, just to see if you could

40 You have strategically placed and easily accessible ammo, clips, and magazines in various rooms of your home

41 You know how to start a fire under any condition

42 You’re a man that carry’s tampons for tinder with no embarrassment

43 You family sends you newspaper clippings about the tragic mental disorder called hoarding

44 You consider the smaller of your two dogs the "emergency backup dog"

45 You fantasize about a house the size of your underground bunker

46 You have more ammo that a company of Marines

47 You trim your trees for good "fields of fire"

48 You have all the propane tanks plotted in the neighborhood

49 You don't take walks just for exercise--you're scoping out the area for edibles that can be foraged

50 Your children are not afraid of monsters under their beds because mom's buckets take up so much room, the monsters won't fit

Homeland Security Has Purchased 2,700 Light-Armored Tanks

Economic Policy Journal

March 5, 2013

The Department of Homeland Security (through the U.S. Army Forces Command) recently retrofitted 2,717 of ‘Mine Resistant Protected’ vehicles for service on the streets of the United States.

Forget whatever propaganda you hear, the Department of Homeland Security is preparing for civil unrest.

Here's a Homeland Security agent in Albuquerque, New Mexico for Law Enforcement Day, explaining the features of the vehicle.

Obviously, the United States government is quickly gearing up its firepower and other equipment to deal with average Americans. You don't need this kind of equipment against the occasional lone nut. Keep in mind that DHS has also recently stockpiled more than 1.6 billion bullets.  That's enough to put about a million bullets into every serious nut job that has popped up in the country over the last 100 years.

Coming soon to a neighborhood near you?

Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part.

Murder, kidnapping suspect in Alabama standoff is anti-government survivalist/doomsday prepper.

Called violent by neighbors.

MyFoxAl.com

Sources close to the investigation say Dykes is a "survivalist" or "Doomsday prepper" and his bunker is stocked with food and other items that could extend his ability to stay below ground.

Dykes is also said to be a Vietnam veteran who suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, or PTSD.

These videos may not be news to anyone here, but they are reinforcement for our point of view. http://bwcentral.org/2012/11/the-madness-of-a-lost-society/
