See my welcoming comments to you on your page.  We are going up to RT and would love to have you join up with us if possible.  We are breaking the trip up in half like we did last year, staying the night in Danville, VA.  We went up US 29 through central Virginia - a nicer ride than 85 or 95.  Contact me about this.

Kevin Bryant was South Carolina's most conservative Senator at the beginning of this year's legislative session.  Now he is our Lieutenant Governor and his old seat is wide open in the upcoming April 11th special election in SC Senate District 3.

In last year's June primary that seat was nearly won by a Socialist running as a Republican (i.e., a RINO), and that Socialist is running again.

Richard Cash is also running for that open Senate seat.  I may not be able to vote in Senate District 3, but I can support a solid candidate.  Richard Cash has been an unwavering conservative who will not bend to pressure from the good old boys in Columbia.  You can read more about Richard here:

On Tuesday, March 28th Richard is having a fundraiser BBQ at the Anderson Civic Center from 6:30 to 8:30 PM.
There will be BBQ and bluegrass.  Tickets can be purchased here:

I applaud the patriotic efforts of leaders like SC Congressman Jeff Duncan and his support of our President as we begin to disassemble the socialist, globalist federal government that has been created by our arrogant elite oligarchs in Washington.  As they told us in 2008, elections have consequences.   Yes, they sure do, and now it's our turn to take back our country.  Never again!!

From SC Congressman Jeff Duncan,

Washington has been on the move since President Trump took office on January 20, 2017. After eight years of an uncooperative White House, we finally have a Commander in Chief that is truly listening to the people and working with Congress in a productive manner. I have seen optimism in Washington that hasn’t been seen in a very long time. I applaud President Trump on his successful actions taken during his first four weeks in office that are already helping the American people.

One of President Trump’s first executive actions involved an issue that I have been concerned with for years now. The Trump Administration issued a travel pause for individuals coming to the U.S. from seven terrorist safe havens, which was subsequently blocked by the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals and paused until further judicial action is taken. I want to emphasize that this ruling was not based on the constitutional merits, but rather it was decided on procedural grounds. I am extremely disappointed in the court’s ruling since the action is well within President Trump’s legal purview. Current law states:

“Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate” (8 U.S. Code § 1182).

The President has the power and authority to restrict travel when necessary, and the court’s job is to defend this law – not push policy from the bench. Although this is a disappointing decision, I am confident that the Trump Administration will prevail in the judicial system and that the travel pause will be reinstated to ensure proper vetting of individuals coming to the U.S. from terrorist safe havens.

Congress has been working on passing Congressional Review Act (CRA) resolutions to strike down harmful Obama Administration regulations issued by various departments. One regulation of note involves the requirement of the Social Security Administration (SSA) which effectively puts seniors and those with disabilities at risk of being placed on “no buy” lists for purchasing firearms. This regulation was not only unconstitutional, but it was an extreme overreach by the Obama Administration to strip an individual of their Second Amendment rights without due process. I am pleased that Congress has taken steps to nullify this unconstitutional regulation.

Another Obama regulation that Congress has struck down involves Title X grants which provides money to states for family planning services for low income families. Under Obama’s rule, states would not be allowed to prohibit abortion providers, like Planned Parenthood, from receiving these funds. Congress struck this rule down so that states can eliminate abortion providers from Title X funds. These federal dollars are better used at community health centers and clinics that care to women who need it the most, not the largest abortion provider in the nation that profits off of the unborn.

The Senate Democrats have been holding up multiple cabinet positions for President Trump. The democrats need to understand that the American people spoke in November, and President Trump deserves a speedy confirmation process so that his cabinet can start working on the agenda that the American people asked for. I call upon the Senate to move forward with voting on the remaining cabinet positions as quickly as possible.

Blessings and Liberty,
Jeff Duncan
Member of Congress

The Brexit vote in Great Britain "predicted" the Trump victory here.  Both then sparked the rise of similar nationalist movements in Europe, where the failure of open border socialism is obvious to anyone able to draw logical conclusions from factual information.
