From the Liberty Policy Counsel:

Senate GOP leaders are pulling out all of the stops to get the 50 "Yes" votes they need for a "Motion to Proceed" on a bill to repeal ObamaCare. Yet, right now, there are four Republican senators who may be responsible for killing the Senate's ObamaCare repeal efforts by casting "no" votes on the motion:

Sen. Rob Portman (OH)
Sen. Shelley Moore Caputo (WV)
Sen. Lisa Murkowski (AK)
Sen. Susan Collins (ME)

As Senator McConnell explained in a press conference outside the White House yesterday:

"Let me describe what 'yes' is. It's the motion to proceed. We cannot keep the commitment we made to the American people to repeal or replace ObamaCare, unless we get on the bill. So next week we'll be voting to get on the bill.

"There is a large majority in conference that want to demonstrate to the American people that they intend to keep the commitment they made in four straight elections to repeal ObamaCare."

Four Republican senators threaten the ObamaCare repeal and replace process.

Slight change to bullet 3 in below Schedule for ride to Cowpens and Chesnee.

Sat 7/29:

  • 8:30AM meet at I-385 x24 Marathon Gas Station. 8:45AM KSU to Woodruff.
  • 9:15AM meet at McDonalds in Woodruff. 9:30 KSU to I-26 x28, Kangaroo Gas Station.
  • 9:45Am meet at Kangroo Express, I-26 x28. 10:15 AM KSU to Cowpens via I-26 to I85, to US-221.
  • 11:15 Am meet at the Visitors Center, Cowpens National Battlefield, 4001 Chesnee Hwy, Gaffney, SC 29341

The idea is to pick up riders at each stop, whichever is convenient for you, and get to Cowpens for a guided tour that begins at 11:30 AM

Read about the Battle of Cowpens here.

After the tour we'll head to Chesnee for eats & motorcycle stuff. I especially want to catch the Wall of Death Motordrone...oooh!

Keep my cell number with you so we don't miss each other along the way.

Saturday will have much more happening. I plan on Saturday. We can all get together, catch the sights in Chesnee, then cruise to Cowpens. I'll pick a time/place for us to meet.
