Sounds like you had a productive and fun ride.

Yesterday, we had a fun ride for NC SoLR and a few new friends from the Landrum, SC, area.  I gave them information about SC-SoLR and hope they will sign up.  I will follow up with them.

Yesterday we rode the Blue Ridge Parkway from Asheville to Balsam with a stop for lunch at the Pisgah Inn.  Weather and scenery was spectacular.

Helmet Support Rally was today. It was about a 5 mile, police escorted ride in Cola. Attended by Cap Bill & myself, and about 100 other bikes. Cap and I met Congressman Joe Wilson again, and he spoke briefly to the crowd.

Congressman Wilson well remembers presenting the SOLR patch to Jake, and said it was his honor to have done so.

Riding back to Fountain Inn was pretty much straight into sunshine... got a little bit red faced from that. Nice ride.

Fellow Riders

We have been having significant fog in the early AMs.  This may affect riders from Murphy area getting to rally point (Visitors Center) exactly on time. Just letting you know in case we are a little late.  If possible we will text or contact your cell phones with an ETA.   Nevertheless, we will be there.

Wouldn't want to miss this ride.

I am reposting the following from the NC-SoLR page following Dick Shaughnessy's resignation as NC President and our Constitution Week BRR program:

Brothers and Sisters in SoLR

The WNC of Pastor Dan Fisher's "Bringing Back the Black Robed Regiment" was an awesome event, made even more important by our nation's moral decay, decadence, and lawlessness by both individuals and government.  A knowledge of American History and the pivotal role of the Christian Church in the creation of our nation and the writing of our Constitution is essential to maintain the unity and patriotism of our citizenry.  Face it.  Two generations of our children have missed out on this critical part of their education - on purpose, of course.  Every dictator in human history has erased prior history to solidify power by eliminative allegiance to the prior regime.  Our Democratic Socialist Left, using "Rules for Radicals", seeks to destroy our constitutional republic and plunge our nation and, therefore, the rest of planet Earth into centuries of tyranny.  America is humanity's best hope of preserving individual freedom, and we, Brothers and Sisters of SoLR, must not allow them to succeed.

Those who attended Pastor Dan's BRR presentation were, in my opinion, infected with a contagious virus of knowledge and spirit.  As they go out into their homes, churches, and communities, they will infect others in what I hope will be a revival of the American Spirit.

I am personally humbled by Brother Dick Shaughnessy's confidence in my leadership, but, if others agree, I will shoulder the office of President of NC SoLR and pledge to do my best to grow our numbers and make our voice louder in the cause of individual freedom, free market economy, limited government, and adherence to the laws spelled out by our Constitution.

The Benghazi-Twin Towers Ride will continue along with as many other events and rides as possible, and I will do my best to live up to Dick Shaughnessy's stellar example of leadership.

I pray for our nation and "May God Prosper our Cause."

Dr. Dan
