About camping at Lake greenwood, I was thinking Fri Oct 19. The campground requires a minimum two nights stay. Also, only two tents allowed per site. So two families can get in one site.
Also, I haven't reserved yet. When I checked there were a limited number of sites available.
Anyway, Doc it sounds like you are in. Anyone else???

Frank, welcome back, and congratulations for finding the right lady! Glad she made you an official South Carolinian! :-)
Frank, Welcome back....I can appreciate what you are going through..I came back to SC after 10+ years over seas (Germany),with a new wife and just a Toyota MR2 to my name. Spent plenty of time collecting whole baggage and household goods in Charleston. Get settled in and keep in touch..

Blu, October at Lake Greenwood sounds great to me...Daughters wedding is over and now I have some free time on my hands. LOL

Welcome back. I am looking forward to getting together with you. For geographical reasons, NC, SC, GA, and AL are planning rides and events together. I suggest you join our group (NC) as well as the GA and AL SoLR groups.
In addition, we are using a cell phone app to share information locally. Here is how to get started:
Here's how to sign up for SOUTH EAST RIDERS Team App:
We now have our own Smartphone App, called Team App.
The riding group is called “South East Riders”.
It's 100% FREE. It'll keep you up-to-date with news, events, rides, schedules and much more. To get the full features of this App you need to download Team App onto your smartphone (www.teamapp.com/app).
Launch Team App, then:
1. Sign-up to Team App. You'll be sent an email to confirm your registration.
2. Log in and search for “South East Riders” to become a member.

Hey BLU
The 6th Annual Benghazi-Twin Towers Memorial Ride and Veterans Program on Sept 15 was an enormous success. We had over 80 bikes for the 50 mile escorted ride that ended up for live music, food, and a great patriotic program at the Band of Brothers Memorial Park in Murphy, NC. The speaker was a US Marine Corps Counter Insurgency specialist who also gave a 3 hour seminar on that subject the following afternoon.
Next year, the Benghazi Ride will be combined with the Sheriff's Veterans Appreciation Day event.
Cannot make the ride this weekend. My wife are I are going to the Deep Blues Festival in Clarksdale, Mississippi.
But I will plan another group ride to a common location for November after the election (hopefully a "celebration" ride).
The greatest gift Trump can give America is a Supreme Court majority of texturalist judges. We are 5 - 4 now, but I certainly would like a cushion. The Supreme Court is the primary tool of the collectivist left to fundamentally change America without the approval of the citizens. Trump just put an end to that. Hopefully, we will have another one or two opportunities to load up the Supreme Court with constitutionalists (texturalists). That will really send the left off the cliff, so we may need to muster the troops again when that happens, not to mention if they don't win in November.
Dr. Dan
SC SOLR, it's been too long with nut'in going on.
That stands to reason, though. We now have a president that believes adamantly in elementary American norms - the US Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. So, just like the 18th century SOL, after independence was gained, they went home.
But who knows when we need to muster troops agin! So let's keep rallying every now and then.
So, what say to a Sat night campout at Lake Greenwood State Park? October should be a good month for such a thing. Any takers?

Our Sons of Liberty Riders Summer Fun and Fellowship Ride to the Smokin’ Pig Restaurant in Pendleton, SC, was a “yuge” success. Thanks to all our Brothers and Sisters of SoLR and ALR Posts 23 and 121 who joined together for a fantastic ride, fellowship, and great food. Both the weather and the company were perfect.
Regardless of the organization flag under which we ride, it is important to remember that we are all Brothers and Sisters united in our patriotism and love of America. It is my goal to have more events in which we all ride together for a common cause.
Upcoming Events:
Alabama SoLR 7th Annual Wounded Veterans Ride
Funds raised go to support Mission 22, The Fisher House, and Alabama Service Dogs
Saturday September 8 @ 1628 2nd Avenue, NW, Cullman, Alabama
James and I are riding over Friday September 7, staying at the Comfort Inn in Cullman Friday and Saturday nights. It is about a 4.5 Hr ride from Murphy. If anyone wants to join us, come over Thursday night and we can help with accommodations. We do have room for a RV at the barn.
Papa Joe Alverson (AL-SoLR President) and 10 riders joined us for the Stand for the Flag/Kneel for God Ride in June, and I would like to repay their support.
