Thinking the ECM is advanced on late model Harley, maybe it can compensate for the change? Think there are any warranty issues with just swapping the pipes?

For what I understand, altering the exhaust will alter the back pressure, aftermarket slip on exhaust will have less baffles inside reduces the backpressure, increasing the airflow through the engine, for this reason you will want to adjust the intake air and fuel, ie breather/fuel pack. You will (not always )increase HP with aftermarket exhaust, but I'd def check to see if the increased

Usually when you change your pipes you have to reject your Carburetor or reset your electronic fuel injection

I wanted to change my stock mufflers on my 07 WideGlide. The local HD shop suggested Rush slip on mufflers. It wasn't what I was looking for in sound. I bought a set of Vance and Hines slip-ons. I have been told if you don't change the air breather, no fuelpak or re-mapping needed. Any help?

You take about 800lbs of Honda VTX 1800, a pinch of Harley batwing, 2 Harley (police issue) hard bags, a couple scoops of 1 off custom duel exhaust, a few dozen cans of satin black spray paint (helps to use faster colors), sprinkle on some hand made leather/chrome trim and custom brackets to make everything fit.

To be honest, its still a Honda. But this one cant be store bought.
