William, We will be leaving here Friday, August 2, 5:30-6:00am.  If you would like to meet up somewhere along the way, we can get that together. We do about 650 miles a day, so we get to our destination by Sat. night.  Last year all of the SOLR members that were able to attend, met at Mc Ducks, in downtown Sturgis almost every morning to do rides.  Like the badlands, spearfish canyon, etc.  Not everybody came every day.  Sterling and I have been to Sturgis 5 times.  We both ride and have done the rides numerous times.  So we may not join every ride, and not everybody joins every ride.  There is a lot to do out there.  If you have any other ? just let us know.

We have a couple of SCSOLR folks going to Sturgis.  Planning to meet the group.   Since I am RC for SC, I would love to meet in South Dakota with other RC's.  Any thoughts?

Hi Sterling,

I saw that you posted the Georgia Convention of States to our California page. I'm not sure if you read the recent posts to our page, but we've been in a bit of a quandary. We're not sure if the "Convention of States" is the same thing as the "Article V Convention". If it is, there might be a problem with such a convention. There would be an opportunity for statists to subvert the intent of our constitution. Have a look at this article, you'll see what the controversy is about:

Hi Sterling,

Welcome to the California page! Since you guys are probably still buried in snow, we'll have to do the riding for you.

Hopefully I can make it to Sturgis this year. I'm saving my pennies...

Conn. unconnstutional gun law!

Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the Conn. 2nd amendment rally this weekend. Although they have my full support! Here is a link to an open letter to the Conn. state police. I dont know the author but its an interesting even inspiring read.

New Members please read

If you are NEW to SOLR:

  1. Join your state page, scroll down. Click on the name of your state and "JOIN".
  2. Contact the State President or leader.  NOT ALL STATES HAVE ONE.  If you are in a state that doesn't have leadership, get involved and try and reach out to the other members on the page.  Find another person who can help you get something going....then get involved.
  3. Read the by-laws, participate in the chat, reply to articles, and learn the ropes of how the site works.
  4. If you have a question post it in the chat room.  Someone should be able to answer it for you there.  If not contact your state leader or post it as a Discussion.
  5. Have fun and get involved politically!  While we are mostly "riders" many are not and our mission is POLITICAL 1st.....

We do have shirts available.

Back Logos are only available through your State President.....they will explain...and work with new members on "how" you go about getting one.

Acta Non Verba,

Sidecar Dan-National President
